It would be helpful and good customer relations to provide an explanation or context when making significant class changes, especially when you’re nerfing a class. And by ‘good’ customer relations, I mean expected or standard really…

As a S&P thief, receiving a 15% nerf to our bread&butter damage skill with a single line of text, it just feels downright rude. Also, 15% is pretty god kitten HUGE.

Providing some context of where you’re coming from or why the Anet team felt this nerf was needed/would be an improvement. A ‘this is what we were going for, this is why we’re making this change, this is what we’re hoping for’ kind of conversation. Then as a player I can have a understanding of what you’re doing, even if I might not agree with it, regardless would have something to talk about. Otherwise I’m inclined to think you’re just a bunch of kitten catering to whiners.

Not a bad suggestion.

It won’t stop whiners and people accusing the developers of having X class as their main, but it will at least pacify the people with half a shred of wanting to know the truth rather than lash out in annoyance.

You didn’t get an explaination because there isn’t really one. They kind of nerfed one of the symptoms instead of the actual problem (quickness).

I would like to think that there is a bit more thought going into this than that, bwillb.

Im down for this, one of the few ideas people have I can get behind. I agree that an explanation would further customer to company relations as well as give some metric albeit a relative one by which we can assess ourselves.
