I had more than a thousand CoF tokens, that i saved for a new gear for my warrior.
The tokens were on my thief, so with all the excitment i purchased the HEAVY gear on my thief , that wears MEDIUM gear.
so i put the gear in my bank and when i log into my warrior for my suprise the gear was soulbound, which i found very upsetting.
and i know, thats my problem for not noticing, but there was no warning about purchasing a HEAVY gear that i cant possibly use, wasting a thousand if not more tokens that took weeks to get, but now i cant use the gear that i bought.
so im suggesting to make it account bound, and not soulbound on aquire to avoid those akward situations, that are just so frustrating and that killed all my motivation for my warrior, this is not a gamebreaking problem just a very big lifestyle suggestion, as the small things do matter.
also i sent a mail to support and they couldnt help at all (if anyone cares)

dungeons gear are soulbound on purchase, not on usage.
so you can buy the wrong gear (a thief buying HEAVY armor instead of MEDIUM)
and it will be worthless, and a big waste of tokens and time.
my suggestion is making the dungeons gear soulbound on usage and not on purchase.

The only potential issue with account bound is you could share the set between characters. Making it bind on equip however doesn’t really change it’s current functionality once it has been used so I don’t see why it would be a problem.

Yeah, thats what I mean. Account bound until use then soulbound. Exactly the same functionality as the tokens now but less easy to mess up with.

I doubt support will help you from what I’ve read since it’s user error (since it does say “soulbound on acquire”). That said, I do agree completely that it should be account bound (to prevent people just selling them on TP) and souldbound on use, and it’s actually one pet peeve of mine why am I able to buy sets I couldn’t possible use at all. I like being able to see the other sets on the vendor screen so I can preview them to see how it’d look on a different race, but I can’t see what use would it be to allow a light armor class, for example, be able to purchase a soulbound on acquire piece of heavy armor.

I’m still amazed that there is not an option to hide non-usuable items in vendors. Hell even in the TP. Would make it so much easier to find Weapons, Armor etc.

And failing that just the option to search by Armor type on TP.. why the heck isn’t that in game?

I do realzie this is my fault, but this shouldnt change anything, as the tokens are account bound , this might be a small part of the game but it is completley frustrating.
