Put blood in the game
That would most likely raise gw2’s age limit which I doubt Anet would want.

Yes this game could definitely be darker.
Not a lot, but some because it would make it feel more real. And when you wanted to do something really dark and bunch a people have been killed, a bloodbath will be a shock but not “holy crap, they put blood in the game” surprising.
