PvP -> PvE conversion
What pve skins are you talking about you can use in pvp? I never seen any mention of this, nor experience any of them myselves
Short answer: Nope
Long answer: Just as many people worked hard in PvE and look shabby in PvP, and would probably like the reverse. Thing is if you PvP it should show with nice stuff for higher ranks, similary, if you PvE it should show with nice skins for hard work. Want to look good in PvE, go work for it!
With the introduction of special pve skins for pvp
I don’t recall the statement 100% correctly, but I interpreted as certain PvE only skins were given PvP variants.
I read this in the latest patch:
“All weapon and armor skins now have the option to be converted to PvP skins. When activating a skin you will be given the choice to either apply the skin to a PvE item or convert the skin to a PvP-only item. Either action will consume the skin. This change applies to all unused weapon and armor skins in the game, regardless of when the skin was first released.”
However I can quite get this to work, does anyone know how this is actually done? I’m not getting this mentioned choice. Also, it only appears to be for pve>pvp. I agree though that the other way should also be added.
I believe this is more for holiday skins. At least, when I applied a toy dagger skin the other day it popped up (and confused me for a minute) asking whether to use as normal or as a ‘pvp only’.
I do admit it would be nice if the few skins of armor that only appeared in PvP would be brought over it would be nice, although I don’t feel the need to share your resources between the two. They are two separate characters after all, and you don’t get to start at level 80 with all armor choices just because you beat the game with one PvE character.

For me PVP needs to be something without any customizations, so less “customizations packets” to clog my internet connection, less things to load on the fly (system used in gw2), less things to be rendered, more fast paced action.

i belive the added a few patches ago an option somewhere to make you choose if you want to see friends and enemy in generaic skins with or without team colors or in each players chosen skin with or without skin color or something like that (dont really play spvp much though so havent confirmed it myself yet
The ingame armor skins are like transmutation stones, when you double click on them it gives you the option to convert them to PvP (Krytan Primeval)
Also counts for Halloween items and such!
As a PvP-er I feel like I said, left out in PvE because it is seperate.
