As the title says, I suggest a small quality of life improvement: We should be able to equip an offhand in addition to the two handed weapon. The offhand is deactivated, so you don’t gain any stats or sigils from the offhand.

The reason is simple: When changing the weapon sets from two one-handed weapons to a two-hander, the offhand lands somewhere in the inventory, most of the time somewhere between the vendor trash.

If you switch from a two-hander to 2 one-handers, it leaves a gap in the inventory and if the inventory is full some drop fills that gap in the middle of your weapons.

Personally, I change weapon sets A LOT in dungeons between encounters. And at every weapon change there is that small annoyance with the inventory. Thoughs?

I switch weapons often myself, and it’s really irritating to say the least.
And I’m always worried that I forget about my weapon being stashed amongst the trash, so that I might sell it and loose it forever :-(

This sounds -perfect-. Very well implemented idea, if I was the designer I would do it!

Sure, it makes sense – since the point of the current limit of 2 weapon sets IMHO is how many logistical sheaths you could have for weapons, not necessarily what you could wield.

So you should be able to “sheath” (not in a backpack) up to 4 weapons (when you’ve unlocked quick-switch) – regardless whether they are 2H or 1H – so long as you can use them (not level or class restricted).

In the case of two 2H weapons sheathed in one group, or a 2H and 1H – only the main weapon (primary) gets wielded, the other remains sheathed.

OT:
Unfortunately there is absolutely no difference between the races. As it would certainly make much more sense for the Large Races to be able to wield 2H weapons in one hand.

Note, it could also provide a path for a new game-feature, wherein
There could be up to 3 or 4 (at higher levels) sheath’s per group, that you can select between in the Hero screen.
