How about an item on the TP that would allow race change? Currently there is total makeover kit but all it does is change the total look of a character. Why not their full race as well?

You know, I’ve seen this thread before. I’ve seen other games do it late in a games life.
I don’t see this happening anytime soon. I personally would never use so I’d rather them spend time on working on stuff that needs fixing, stuff that needs creation.

I also want this! It should reset the personal story when u use the item and it should let you pick up those personal story questions again like when u are making and new char. It should also change the cultural armor depending on what race you pick.

- Racial Armor. You would no longer be able to wear that T3 Charr armor you had, when you become an Asura. And NO REFUNDS! Unless Cultural Armor can be salvaged or sold? Idunno.

- Racial Skills. That norn loved turning into a bear. Then he became a human, and found that those skill points went to waste, because he no longer has that skill.

- Personal Story. How will that Charr explain to his warband that he was a human noble with a missing sister? Would you want to have your personal story reset – after you’ve stormed Fort Trinity and have a foothold in Orr?

Race and Profession are immutable. Even in GW1, you could never change your primary profession. In GW2, your species is just as integral to the character, both for gameplay and for story.

I would pay for a race change so I could make my level 80 warrior into and Asura

My God i would spend all my money on a race change kit if it meant i could change my charr into a human…biggest mistake i made was making a charr since Anet has royally screwed everyine who plays charr. So yes bring a race change delete my story delete my cultural i dont care…just get me out of this charr Pleaseee

Please make more race change topics. I get 1g every time someone does before the end of October.

• Reset all skill selections
• Unequip all gear (no space in bags then cant confirm change)
• Use generic race appearance (have to use a makeover kit to customize)

When it comes to the personal story you would have to reset it to zero and include personal choice in the race change process. This would make it possible to redo these “quests” over and over with multiple race change contracts (this could maybe be exploited to farm exp/keys so a limit on how many race changes are possible/timeframe might be required).

In theory I would agree but if you managed to scrounge up any good soul bound items then it might not be an option, and yes maybe people should have realized that before they did but that’s beside the point and as such isn’t relevant to this thread.
