Race Change Alternative
Stopped reading at “90% of the players regrets the race they chose for their first main”
Come on guy if you want people to take this wall of text seriously and read past where I stopped, stop making sweeping generalizations using made up (absurd) statistics because you don’t like what race YOU made. Take it a a lesson and reroll like the rest of us.
“Take it a a lesson and REROLL LIKE THE REST OF US.”
Enough said. Ty for proving my point.
Way to take my words out of context.
Those of us that preferred another race at one point does not comprise 90% of the player base. For you to begin to argue that is completely ridiculous
I used that data simply from my friends playerbase, the important here is the idea, not the generalization itself, you’re just someone flamming for no reason. Ty for adding nothing intersting to my main ideia.
You’re right, and I apologize for derailing.
I am amongst many who have posted here with ideas for race change since the first weeks of reaching level 80. We have not seen or heard even a mention of this matter being addressed. If you have the gold or gems to get all crafting professions leveled to 400 after using a level 20 scroll I would suggest that. It should get you around 75. Most efficient method by far
No problem dude, happens …
The thing is, now that they nerfed crafting, and they are still nerfing everything to make new player’s life 10x worse the old player’s ones … If any friend ask me if he should or not buy the game now, i’d rather say no then watch as he discovers how nerfed this game was. It will end up like WYD, they nerfed it so much so that new players can’t even join the economy of the game. Fun fact, GW2 is commiting suicide and the only thing they think about is remaking Tequalt …
While I wouldn’t tell newcomers not to try the game, what I would do is suggest for them to play it much differently than I did. GW2 is a much different game than anything we’ve seen before in terms of content. A lot of games offer filler quests and fancy things to catapult you to the end game, whereas Guild Wars 2 focuses on enjoying that content up to end game, and regularly revisiting lower level content.
The problem and the disconnect occurs when you don’t find that out until level 80. If I would have known how fast that plateau slams into me, I would have paced my experience much differently. Now as an en game player, the last thing I want to do is go back on an alt and play the content as if I’m playin it for the first time. That experience is lost. And this ties in to your OP about race change – no one wants to reroll and have to do all of that content again.
As for the game killing itself, I agree in some regards. One being that they push this mediocre content over legitimate quality of life changes. One thing that makes me want to play a game is knowing I’m playing it, and not working in it. Sometimes it seems GW2 has many revolutionary yet conflicting ideas, such as single use, exclusive skins and time gated infinite progression dungeons (fractals).
But im agree, this game can be made absolutely astounding with the right quality of life changes.
