This feature would be a great addition to the gem store. I can’t be the only person so disappointed with how my race/sex decision looks at 80 that I’m considering rerolling the same class just to fix it. With no subscription, this seems like the perfect type of transaction to offer for gems or straight up real money purchase.

I’m aware that the unique race storyline thing could be a problem, but it wouldn’t be that complicated to transfer where in the story line a character is. In the worst case scenario just require the character to have finished it. Thoughts?

I have to agree that I would pay for a race/sex change at this point in the game. Spending a little money instead of rerolling the same class but with a different race/sex is well worth it.

The end game armor for human characters appeals to me more than my Asura. I’d also like to be able to show my guild emblem with pride but on such a small race as the Asura that isn’t possible. I hope more people out there would like to see a race/sex change and we can get this option available soon. In a game with no subscription fee paying for a race/sex change is well worth it.

+1 I’d pay for it too and have spent many a dollar on such changes while playing another MMO that shall not be named.

I think this would be difficult to implement with your Personal Story. If they could add it at all, it would probably have to be at Level 80 when your Personal Story has ended.

I think it would be a wonderful feature, allow changes in sex and appearance within your race before personal story is done and once that is over unlock the ability to change race. Just have it so that you unspend skill points with it (so you can choose race specific ones instead of having one that was in the same spot).

Also I agree that it should be a gem bought item.

Nah, that’d probably discourage a lot of people of changing their race. I’m sure it wouldn’t be too difficult to ‘reset’ the personal story so that once you purchase a race change, you go through the other race’s personal story after choosing your new character’s background.

The only problem I see with this is if some one has bought cultural armor and they want a race change. Would the cultural change to the respective tier?

I too really want a race change, but dont wanna haveto remake my character and haveto redo all that exploration/events/puzzles over again. After changing race just make it so it resets your story to step 1, have it change cultural armor to cultural armor of said race. Really not that complicated.

I loved my little Asura elementalist but, I started seeing more and more awesome looking human races running about the world, adorned in some of the finest kit and looking just downright great. So, I bit the bullet and re-rolled: it hurt at first and I was wondering if I was doing the right thing but, I am so glad I did it.

My little Asura will be back but, I am expecting that this race will be gracing my PC screen as a Thief.

+1 i would like this as well i really hate the char i rolled and i hate the race too. I dont have time or nerves to reroll.

There will never be race change, tho i’m sure they’ll implement cosmetic surgery stuff xD

Race change will never be implemented, cause it impacts a lot on personal story.

Sex/appareance instead it’s almost sure imo, it were avaible on GW1, i don’t see any reason to do not add it in GW2.
