Personally I would like to see a way to change my race.

Something like the Total Makover Kit.

I know that the personal story is tied to the race, but, what you could do is to completey reset the storyline for the character who is changing race, so that the storyline starts from scratch.
Just a possible way to do it. It probably could be done in another way which I can’t think of right now, but it surely must be possible in some way.

If you, Arena Net, for some reason don’t want people to change their race often, then you could make “The Race Changer” so that it only can be used once per character. Or you could make it expensive.

My personal reason for wanting to change my race is that when I first created my character I didn’t think much of the animation in and out of combat, nor did I think of the way unirace armor looks like on specific races.
I have an Asura now, and the CoF medium armor just looks awful on it.
But most importantly of all; I did not think of how the cultural armor looked like

Now I regret that I started an Asura, leveled it all the way to 80, spent hundreds of gold on gear and cosmetic and hundreds of hours on it. AND a lot of money on gem purchases.

NOW I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO CHANGE MY RACE, ARENA NET, SO THAT I WONT HAVE TO BE SO BUGGED ABOUT MY CURRENT RACE NO MORE. I WILL NOT MAKE A NEW CHARACTER JUST TO DO ALL OF THE GRIND ALL OVER AGAIN, SO..
Please Arena Net, give us a race changer.

Oh.. And if it isn’t to much to ask for.. A way to turn our current cultural gear on our current race in, so that we can get cultural gear on our new race for none or reduced cost :-)

Thats funny, if I changed race it would be to an Asura on my ranger just to have pain inverter… I do hate the way Asura look in almost all the armor though. >_<

They could add a race change but I doubt it’ll happen anytime soon, if ever. If they did they could also tie certain story choices for every race together… such as infinity ball = heirloom = dead sister = etc… OR they could do as you suggested an reset it entirely and let you play both story lines without leveling up two characters.

well medium armor are terrible with all races if you ask me…
but i can easily understand you since i started a lot of character for the same reason

Yeah, they could do something with the choices, so that one wouldn’t have to start the storyline from the beginning..
I don’t know if they’ll do it, maybe if the demand is there..
I think they could be making some money on it over time though :-)

I just really hope that they’ll add the feature (soon)! :-)
