Well the title says everything. Not only race change but being able to customize it all over again.

Please, look for it, it will not only be very good to us but it will give you guys a large amount of harmless money to be honest

Yeah because that would really ruin the game.

I think it would be a bit hard, well more if you played into your story cuz then half way through it would have to do something like… then suddenly… ASURA ASURA EVERYWHERE XD.

I guess it’s OK I would like re – customization maybe for some gold?? But I don’t think a change in race would be practice for the above reason.

I feel that some sort of Race change should be put in place. There should be some requirements you have to meet before you are able to make the race change. Like Story would have to be complete. That would rule out the argument that it would mess up your personal story line.

My reason i would like to see it implemented is I play an Asura thief and have spent allot of time and gold on my gear/weapons. Since the Asura are small its harder to make out the details of every thing if spent so much time on. In my opinion, the medium gear looks awful on the Asura and would like to be able to change to a talker race. I would re-roll the toon but I feel it would be a waste of effort to try and remake the same thing on a different race.

My reasons are completely cosmetic.

First off, you picked your race for a reason… If you want to play a new race, create a new toon. Run out slots for new toons? Save some gold, buy an expansion. It’s redundant to think they should implement something like this when you dug your own hole by creating a toon of a race you decided you didn’t want.

Impossible! Simply put, your home instance is based on your race. If you were to change race, personal story would need to change, NPCs would need to react differently, who knows what would happen to your armor/weapons if they tried to equip to a race that was not there. The amount of difficulty this would entail and the unpredictability of what bugs would and could occur is unfathomable.

I’m sorry but if you want an asuran with a priory storyline then make one, if you are bored of your human necro then tough, go create a charr necro. If you cannot stick to your decisions then either delete the character or buy more slots.

I can easily see a makeover pack for features coming into play, sex changes may be more difficult but race change…. i’m sorry, it will never happen.

Xenkaidos is right in say that i did pick my race for a reason. The asura is a great race and is allot of fun to play. I will have tons of fun playing my Asura thief if they do or dont implement this option.

Since i was under the impression that this was a forum for suggestions and the topic was Race change, i would put my opinion on the matter. It might not be a game changing reason but in the nature of the suggestion forum, i posted my idea and reason. If Anet uses it or not makes no difference. They have done a great job and i will continue to support them with the choices they make in their game.

Also its redundant to post a replay on possible options one could use to “Race Change” when i addressed it in my first post.

So changing a race is not the same thing? You would have the same thing on a different race, let’s be honest; you are too lazy to level another character to be same thing.

If someone changed races their entire story would be messed up, They would have to redo all their missions, buy different sets of cultural gear if they had any..

I think this idea is very stupid indeed.

I really have to laugh at the norrowminded comments regarding this topic. Firstly let me put my spin on it. Player race change could be done as follows:

I player selects to make the race change through the gem system.

The toon in qustion is then highligted for change on the character log in screen. When the player picks that toon, it goes through the complete character creation as if it was a new toon picking story etc. as far as armor goes, the toons amour is reset to default lvl 80 (PvP armour)this is the downside to race change, if players want it then they will take the hit. all skills and talents are reset and the player then embarks on his new adventure, new storyline etc) everything else remains the same, the world exploerd and the player level etc. So as i see it, the only downside to this is the armour change, If WoW can do it very successfully then, what is the issue. I really like it when people post “No no no and for the last time a bit fat no”. If you dont want it then dont use it, but i feel players should be given the option. Also we are not game designers and who knows what is possible.

OFC this is bearing in mind the toon in question is lvl 80, if not, then the armour should be default to basic level and the player should be forced to grind for a updated set in the world as we do currently when starting new toons
