Guild Wars 2

My largest regret about my play thus far in GW2 is my choice of an Asuran as my main. After getting max inventory and bank slots, getting exotic weapons and armor, and reaching 80 and completing the world, there is no way I’m going to restart my character, but the single most irritating thing about him when I play is that he’s an ugly little character, upon whom leather looks terrible. Although it will take me a long while to farm for my legendary, I find myself less and less inclined to try, as I don’t like the look of my character, something I had to choose very early on based on stats/preliminary information, and really couldn’t make an informed choice about. As such, I believe a gem-store potion to transmute races would be an invaluable addition to the game and something that Anet should offer.

The idea of race changes has, unfortunately, been shot down by ANet.

I have faith that if enough people ask for something, they’ll reconsider. I literally log on and quit in 5 mins some days, due solely to the fact that I’m irritated by my choice of race on launch day.

Feel the same about my 3rd lvl 80 toon, a Charr mesmer. Only after reaching 80 on her that i saw how bad light armors in general look in Charr characters. I’m at the moment rolling yet another mesmer, but now a human, for the sole reason of “the looks”.
As much as i wished we could have either an item or a service to switch one’s race, i’m also confident so say that Anet won’t provide such a thing, as it would take too much effort to develop. We have to keep in mind that every race has their own storyline, racial skills and what not that could’t be easily switched out.
Then again, as a Charr what wished to be a human I say +1 to this and lets hope they hear us.
