Could you please make race-change availiable in the TP?

I have a Human Elementalist which I do not enjoy very much, I’ve spent a lot of time on it and it has 3/6 ascended items…. I have played on it for quite some time now but truly enjoy playing with Asura. They are awesome and have great animation+I like doing jumping puzzles with them, their height makes them more “illusionary” mobile from my point of view. I truly enjoy playing with them, would love to be able to switch from Human to Asura, please make this possible. Pretty please!

P.S I am also working on a legendary at this very moment and it would be a shame if I couldn’t switch races…. I’d just be forced to remake another character with the exact same proffession just a different race and I do not know if I’d be up for this… please I’m begging you make this possible!

You could check out this thread but to be honest if they were to ever do so you could probably level up and gear up an Asura well before it ever happens.

It will mess totally your personnal story, cultural armor (don’t say they just have to change it according to your race, it will mess up the emperor achievement), and racial skill (though a refund is kind of ok I think)…
And lorewise it’s very unlikely to happen.

But I do not have any cultural armours… I do not like how they look on my female human, and I do not really care about story whatsoever :/… The personal story can just be replaced with whatever, I don’t see why that even matters the slightest? No offense… but I do not walk around and click on other people’s characters and look at what kind of story they have written down nor for one do I know if this is even possible. Story is just story, doesn’t really matter to me, I see it as an online game where cosmetics and enjoyable animations/races are ment to be enjoyed for thy own purpose… I don’t know being forced to remake a character just because a couple of items are soulbound seems nuts to me, I’d quit right after creatng my legendary.

Not even possible to bump every 24th hour? (I know I didn’t do it up above), but bumping every 24th hour isn’t “spam” exactly.

No its not allowed and no reason. Anet reads all being said here but never comments.
They use the amount off support as an indicator for how much wanted this is. You are making false data AND you are supressing other (more) excellent ideas.

So don’t do it!

Once again, I fail to see how the OP can work his way up to level 80 and then decide he didn’t like the race he was playing…

There is no plans for race change option yet, but it will probably come in the future along with a replay and reset story mode for exploring different paths. It doesn’t affect others, it adds replay ability and it’s money for Anet.

There is lots of posts already like this and in the future I suggest to use one of those

It’s simple mathmatics 1-1=0, read down below.

Who gives a flying kitten about personal story? If you want the kittening achievements they will be transfered with your racechange and replace the story you choose for the race you want to switch to! Same goes for the kittening armours, “racial/cultural” they are equally worthy price-wise when it comes to different armours f.g light/med/heavy. If you’ve unlocked achievements for having these they will also be transfered together with the cultural armours to the race you desire to have and with this all the ancient story/achievements that you had on your old race f.g Human will be gone and transfered to the race you desire. So Human achievements for story/cultural armours will become Asuraian cultural armours/achievements for story, you will get the exact same achievements you had on your Human but from an Asura’s perspective. If this isn’t freaking clear for you I don’t know what the hell is.

You are the only one being disrespectful here not me, honestly; there is absolutely no solid counter-argument you could even consider using against a suggestion like this because it’s a win-win both from the player-perspective and co-orporate-perspective. There’s a lot of money to be made, everybody wins!!

And to those saying that I personally just “realized” that I didn’t like playing with my character once I reached 80, you are kitten right I did do that once I reached 80! It’s my first character that I’ve actually gotten to 80, I’m completely new to the game. I wouldn’t consider making a bunch of twinks and level all up to 20 just so I can see which one the level 80 gear looks the best on, no! I choose the Human race because I didn’t know any better…

Support. I don’t care about personal story, if that’s the only problem anet needs to address with implementing this, they can reset it for all I care, as long as I can change my race.
