If it can hurt you, why can’t you rally from it?! If the classes with pets/minions (possibly even clones) can just spawn something and walk away laughing while that “inanimate” object (apparently) ATTACKS you and kills you/prevents you from healing/can still see you while under stealth/invis, why can’t we rally from killing the thing? We all know some of these things can take some SERIOUS punishment before dying. Some of them can instantly res their master, heal them so fast and so well that no one can stomp in time, take half the damage for their master, just absolutely get in the way of your LoS (line of sight) to their master… this is an enormous oversight.

If you could rally off of them, minions and pets would be a disadvantage for the user.

It’s a huge advantage as it is, so it would serve to balance. The real disadvantage is to the player who is downed and incapable of rallying.

The entire advantage of minions is that they are completely expendable. Some of them are even designed to be sacrificed.

wait…wait…wait… Pet’s are a HUGE advantage???? You must not be a Ranger. Please read the long thread about wanting the pet’s removed because they are a burden in WvW. Rallying as you suggest, would break the class completely.

If I remember correctly you used to be able to rally off necro minions, making any points in the Death tree hindering you to the point where you’re unplayable because you summon a bone fiend on kill automatically and he died in like 10 seconds, giving a free rally to whoever the necro just downed. No good.

Unless you’re talking strictly PVE then sure, why not?
