Random Players Messing up Guild Puzzles
First, since when is 115 small?
This problem you are citing is a failing in the design of the puzzle itself. It has come up before without the addition of random extras. It really needs a way to get people who are stuck outside inside.
They aren’t going to limit participation, though, because the whole point was that actual small guilds (not yours) who aren’t able to access them can run them thanks to larger guilds (like yours) who can. The puzzle itself needs to be altered, not the system that governs it.

Thanks Kal, I see what you are saying – I guess I consider us small cause we are not one of those 400 member mega-guilds. We also have a policy of not kicking our inactive members who may have joined us a year ago and now no longer play. We don’t want them to log back in and find that they no longer have their guild friends to play with., so we don’t have 115 active players. So, on topic of puzzle mechanics, I can see your point. Our challenge is getting everyone coordinated to get to the same spot in a timely fashion for the puzzle to progress and we like that challenge – we keep a commander at the lead and a commander in last player position to keep everyone ’herded" and to signal the lead to activate the next portion – obviously that means that random players can seriously mess up the strategy. To your point, I get that truly small guilds, would appreciate some help — but coordinated help, not random players who run in. So, maybe the only solution is to change the mechanic, but the organization is a fundamental part of the puzzle, so it is a conundrum.
I totally agree with Liz in more ways than one, probably 7!
I agree with Liz, regardless the size of the guild participating, any random person can spoil the experience for the people who are doing the puzzle period, is simply not good at all. This should either be addressed properly, or it may well become something that guilds will never even bother to participate in.
