Randomize the requirements for the Daily
I agree with this suggestion, Panaromic. One thing that should be noted is, remove the requirement to WIN a PvP, since wining a battle means you need to depend on the skill and teamwork of your fellow groupmembers and not yourself.
I do not understand what you mean with, Survival? Survive a dungeon? Survive a event? Could you please explain this part?
Other then those points, your suggestion is a good one.
“Survival” is getting experience without dying.
Cant you use mystic coins in any PvP recipe? Because if you can’t, there’s no reason to have that in dailies.
I couldn’t be against PvP dailies. They could reward PvP stuff like PvP consumables and materials.

Thanks for explaining that part. I guess it depends how much experience would should get without dying. Since in WvWvW most players die alot, so I am curious how much experience we should accumulate before we compleet that part.

Dungeons needs to be one of them.
A maximum of one dungeon path at least. Since it will be random, not everyone has to do them everyday.

Daily tasks are made this way so you can do them solo. And within small amounts of time.
If you’ll add tasks that require finding a party, doing dungeon runs or PvPing it would ruin the whole concept.
Instead of just playing we would be forced to grind daily tasks or waste a kittenload of time trying to find a group for some particular dungeon (which is very boring since we don’t have LFG tool).
So no. Everything is fine now.

Changing them would take more time to complete them. I don’t have much time to play and I am happy that I can at least complete the daily achievement. I don’t have the time to find other players. The daily achievement is one thing that I am looking forward to every day. Even when I have a busy day I can at least login and complete that one because I know what the requirements are.
or to make everyone happy they could add another daily so that we have two of them. Then we have the normal daily achievement and one surprise daily achievement with different requirements every day(do you know what I mean?). But please don’t change the normal daily one

Right. It makes sense for such tasks to be requirements for the monthlies. They would even work for weeklies if there was such a thing. But on a daily basis? No. Group content just isn’t practical as a daily task. Just because a day is 24 hours doesn’t mean everyone has 24 hours to play.
I like the predictable nature of the dailies, it’s a comfortable routine, if they randomized there’d probably be something annoying added to the requirement like “complete three jumping puzzles” ugh.
One of the requirements could become random instead of all of them, if it makes people feel better.
Personally I’d like the ones that encourage grouping. More people will be looking for group because of it so it won’t be any trouble finding one.
Stuff from Daily’s can be found other ways, so I don’t understand those people who say “Nooo, nooo, then I won’t have time to do it!”. It’s not something you have to do everyday… so relax! Even if you only play once per month then you can get the Daily that day.

If you don’t like playing with other players… why play a MMO… a Daily to encourage grouping would make this game feel more alive to me. And it’s nothing mandatory, you’re not missing out on anything if you don’t get it. It’s just a nice reward for people who like to put their effort into something.

i like the idea minus the SPVP, WVWVW, diving locations, and mat donation.
why? because i don’t do SPVP, WVWVW is extremely hit or miss, diving loctions=spending money/punishes players without map completion and mat donation is obviously spending money.
the randomizations have to be available to everybody and easily accomplishable.

Just make a random task as bonus to the existing dailies, it satisfies your request and leaves other people what they like as is.
Imagine A daily that is purely based in sPvP. play a certain amount of games, perform a certain amount of finishers, defenses/captures, kill x players, or earn x amount of glory. If players prefer to spend all their time in sPvP rather than in PvE rather promote that. Daily achievements are in place to promote player involvement in the world, a sPvP daily would inhance player participation in that area of the game.
It’s not something you have to do everyday… so relax!

Dailies are made for people who don’t have a lot of time to play every day, to give them some rewards even if you don’t spend much time farming events. It is a guaranteed way to have at least some exp, money and karma for those who log in for 1-2 hours before sleep.
If you have time to spend many hours in-game to find groups, do dungeon runs with PUGs, grind sPvP and WvWvW then you don’t need daily tasks. Honestly.
No don’t force people to play pvp even more. As it is now its already to much. Forcing to play wvw for monthly and for legendary weapons is not fun. Not fun as in not fun to do not because its to hard to get the 500 tokens or the 50 kills. Don’t ad it to daily.
I agree with create more variety for dailies, but I must say… I don’t like too much your suggestions on possible tasks. Daily stuff must be easy to do, and must happen almost naturally after playing in PvE for a couple of hours.
The daily quest is fine the way it is. Your suggestions would work for the monthly quest though.
Complete jumping puzzles? sPvP? Crafting? I don’t want to be forced to do something I don’t want to do. It’s fine the way it is.
Ugh, no. Randomness is bad, getting stuck with hard daily requirements while the other guy gets all the easy stuff would suck. And forcing people into PvP for PvE related dailies would be no good at all as not everyone wants to do PvP (I never have and probably never will).
Maybe a seperate PvP daily bonus could be added, though what can PvP players really get since the levels and gear are free anyway? I guess it would work fine for WvW though.
