Here are some suggestions for pets that a ranger can wield. I don’t know too much about the species itself but thought I would throw it out there.

Rockdog,
A powerful species that the centuars use a lot. I don’t know that much about them but they seem like a vicious species. I don’t see why any of the other species could not tame it if centaurs can.

Tropical Bird,
I saw this bird on some beach and thought it looked cool. I can see a lot of people naming it Tucan Sam. XD

Racoon,
You see a lot of racoons in open world. Rabbits are present alot but I don’t really see them being a species being able to fight. Racoons could have good evasive abilities and give opponents rabies (poison condition). I don’t know it is just a suggestion.

Deer,
They are also present a lot. I don’t know how useful they would actually be but it might be cool to see them implemented.

You should also add limited addition animals that are really hard to charm.

A cool feature you could add for rangers is the ability to ride certain pets. All of the other abilities have cool feature to them that make them original. Sure being able to charm an animal is fun, but it gets boring after a while when you have all of the pets. I figured being able to ride a certain animal in play (OUT OF COMBAT) might be cool.
