Ok here something new and fun thats never been done in an MMO and since this game likes to try to be unique, how about making our Ranger pets to have to ability to wear pieces of armor made by crafting or Karma vendors, etc..this would be easily implemented and each piece of armor can improve pet mitigation, damage output or even vitality..what do you guys think?

First they’d have to design the pet armors…
Then they’d have to fit them to different models like for different character races..(Which is a very agonizing workload)
Then they’d have to do all the work that is needed to integrate them into the crafting system..
On top of that, they’d have to design a good lot of them or people wouldn’t care.
I’m sure they’d also cause more market bloat.

It’s actually not easily implemented and a big waste of time in my opinion. The fix for Ranger pets is going to come from an internal number tweak, this would just be a redundant workaround for little to no point unless they sold it in the gemstore.

I was thinking of something like interchangable collers with dog tags that could be used as the stats increase lol

Giving pets equipment isn’t anything new… Loads of asian-based MMOs have pets you can gear up.
And this would just add to the grind for Rangers, which isn’t something anybody would want.

I’m still in support of the Spirit-Pets idea.

You summon a spirit that you can command to perform damage/utility skills instead.
They don’t attack for normal dps, Rangers can have their weapon damage rebalanced. Pets are immortal, so you don’t have to worry about a dead pet crippling your DPS. No longer have to care about poor AI controls.
