I have searched trough the forums and have found 1 suggestion on this. But still I am going to suggest it again.

Since There is a lot of discussion about ranger viability and diversity, I would like to suggest that Rangers can equip a quiver in the second weapon slot when using a bow.

The quiver could give some extra stats, or instead of stats it could give some other kind of boon or special passive. Now its Just an idea nothing more nothing less.

In my opinion this would make the ranger class unique in ranged weapons. it will be something that would give him an extra edge over the other classes in ranged combat. This way the ranger will be an unique class excelling in ranged combat. Because right now I am hearing a lot of people saying : “why roll a ranger when a warrior is better in ranged anyway?”

Some non-ascended quivers would be nice though.

True. Not only did I have to level my ranger to 80; but now I have to try and collect 250 T6 materials as well as 50 Ectos just to stop myself from pulling arrows out of thin air all the time…

Oh well, can’t have it all I guess…

I will support this suggestion for ranger. The quivers mentioned above does not give ranger a distinct style, they are just backpack items.
Now; 2nd weapon can hold quiver is great idea and one or a combination of the below can be implemented:

First the trade off is:
1-Ranger loses 2nd set of weapon

The benefits:
2- Quiver could add stat
3- Quiver could add range for 1 or for 2-5 skills but not both, slight range increase.
4- Quiver reduces CD for rabid shooting skills of long bow and 3 arrows skill for short bow.

Or give ranger trapping weapon ( what ever that is ) like engineer mines. Lets call it wilderness survival kit or something, this weapon only lay traps on ground where ranger stands. what comes to mind are the swamps traps in fractal of the mist dungeon.

Since we are on the ranger wish list; how about an abilities to summon both pets for 60 sec, call it " Unleash". side note the elite ability Hounds of Balthazar should be renamed Who Let The Dogs Out and song beat should play when activated

I played ranger to 80, then leveled a mesmer to 80 with full exotic. mesmer is my main and will never go back to ranger. so i am not biased and I know ranger playing style.

Any profession using a bow and arrow should have a quiver when equipped, even just for aesthetic purposes, like the engineer and their backpack. And it should be available from the start of the game.

Personally, I like the Legolas/Hawkeye/Katniss look.

We should’ve had quivers from the start but that would mean we’d actually have to excel at ranged combat and we know how rangers are not about ranged combat, rite?

I like the idea but other classes will complain.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

I agree that any class using a bow should be able to equip a quiver, if not to include extra stats, for the cosmetic purpose itself. Pulling arrows out of your kitten is getting old, it’s like playing a game that lets you drive vehicles in first person, and you look down and can’t see your arms..just a floating steering wheel/handle bars. Developers, quit being fking lazy. Simple cosmetic things and animations like this make big differences, especially in rpgs where the game revolves around our characters and us staring at our characters, screen spinning and drooling at our armor and what not :P
