I feel like the Home instance are a bit underused since it only serves as backdrop for some missions and its importance only diminishes as the storyline advances. I think it would be useful to come back and use the home instances to add some simple unmarked side-stories for our character that have nothing to do with your quest against the Dragons. For example, giving us the chance to rebuild the Falcon Company. These sidestories would cause subtle changes to your instances and expand the characters we meet during the main storyline thus giving more life to your Home Instance and a reason to visit it from time to time.
