Well, if you chose the wrong server to join your friends, you could always delete your characters. If you’re past the point of no return, then you should either find the money to shell out or start farming that ~60g’s worth of money to transfer.

Doesn’t just about every thriving MMO charge ~$25 for a server transfer? How is this too much? And you have the option of grinding the gold. You can make <1g every ten minutes in a CoF run. If you don’t want to do that then you have the more tedious ways of gold farming. Either way I could never see a $25 fee as too much when I have the option of paying nothing at all.

Nor do you gain the Power of the Mists even though it was intended to be applied to your character no matter what.
