Can we get a mystic forge recipe to convert regular transmutation stones into fine transmutation stones? After a year of play, who has any use for the regular stones? And yet, each map you clear, or character storyline you do, you get more and more of these regular stones. Maybe a recipe that combines 20 regular stones with 3 other materials in order to make 1 fine transmutation stone. I think that would be reasonable. But make the 3 other materials something else other than what seems to always be the normal recipe requirements (not ecto, crystalline dust, etc…because that gets old). In other words, materials that may have little value right now, but whose value will increase because of this recipe. Maybe some quartz, or twisted watchwork sprockets. Something to increase the value of lesser used items is all I’m saying, so that we can actually make something useful out of something I think a lot of players just trash. I know, I know..anet sells the fine transmutation stones so they make money there so they’ll never do this, but it doesn’t hurt to ask for it anyway.

I am constantly short on transmutation stones as I level up my remaining 8 characters. That said I will still eventually cap them out, and they are peaking on 38% map completion, so it isn’t like they don’t have a ton of stones coming their way. Once that happens I would definitely love a way, even a very farmy expensive way, to upgrade them. I definitely do not have enough crystals for all their gear.

20-1 might be a bit much, but it’s also probably cost effective, so I wouldn’t argue it.

True. I just threw out the crystals as an example. What I really meant was to use items that seem to be ignored junk items or that are only used during crafting level ups and then never touched again. Anything that you see on the trading post where there is a gazillion for sale for mere coppers each. Essentially the idea would be to give them added value and reduce the stockpiles. 20-1 is a lot, but I would be willing to do it. Right now they are no use to me. Plus, I know many players probably never do map completion or even story mode completion on more than 1 or 2 characters they like, so giving them a reason to do so for the transmutation stones might get them back to being active in the oh so desolate maps.

I actually suggested this very thing about 9 months ago in my thread: Mystic Forge recipe for Transmutation Stones. So obviously I am all for this!

I agree. I have close to 200 Trans Stones. It would be nice to upgrade them to ones I can actually use
