Yesterday I was doing a fractal, and I decided to send health regen food to all of my groupmates. I successfully sent mail two 2 of them, by the third I received the blocked from sending mail notification. It was not long before it cleared up, but we all had to stand around and wait because I guess I was too efficient at sending mail.

LMAO! I just posted a suggestion stating exactly the same thing! Glad someone is annoyed by this as well

My suggestion to still keep the limits imposed on gold spammers:

If you as the sender are on THEIR friends list, or in the same guild, then it shouldn’t count as a spam flag. Using this method, you could send email to everyone in your guild, or that has added you to their friends list, and not get flagged for spamming.

It seems this comes up a lot related to dungeons.

Maybe instead of guild or friends list, it removes the spam trigger for those in your party. Since you have to be in a party to do dungeons, right?

That way those who are PuG’ing it don’t have to worry about a couple people forgetting to do it or what not. But keeps the trigger on the gold spammers.

Because well, your friend who has you on their list just got hacked by a gold seller and then your inbox gets full as they sent mail after mail after mail those on the person’s friend list (because higher chances the friends are mutual).

Even this method would be great for dungeon runs.

Of course, there is another reason I suggested guildies though, and sometimes it’s so that we can (as either officers or leaders) communicate to those offline to let them know when we’ll be doing dungeons, events, etc. I’d like to use a website to do it instead, but let’s face it, most people don’t bother to visit guild websites (kinda discouraging for those of us who design guildsites).

You can always use those trays/feasts, but I suppose that can be very wasteful for a dungeon (WvW is a different story).

Is there still a similar problem with the chat suppression? You’d often get suppressed for like an hour if you said the same LFG message in chat twice in a row. At least the GW2 LFG website provided a good workaround for that.

I’d say guild only if it was a perk that the guild staff could control. Like the deposit and withdrawal from the guild bank or vault is. Just to help prevent any spam from a fellow guild member if their account got compromised. Or to help prevent guild members from spamming random stuff as well.

Actually, I used the feast, but still wanted to send them potions to help with the run.

Sadly, though, you’re right, the feasts are a bit pricey for a 5 man dungeon (at least to craft them).
