So the other day I was in Blazeridge Steppes when I heard the soundtrack that was used in the Fissure of Woe in Guild Wars 1.

I would like to put the suggestion out there for a remake of that elite area and put it in Guild Wars 2.

Kneel before the statue of Balthazar in Divinity’s Reach and pay one gold entry fee as a party (20 silver each).

All the original quests remain the same but then ofcourse now in events, the enemies remain the same. Skeletons pop up etc etc.

Full party wipe results in a kicking out of the dungeon and restart and repay entry just like in GW21

It’ll be nice if all GW1’s elite areas came back as bonus fractals.

Then instead getting always solid ocean, you could get things like “Stone Forest fractal”, “Shard of Woe”, “Reaper’s Lament fractal” and “Anguished fractal”.

Kitten the fractals – make them just as the OP said – statue triggered, same as GW1 was. UW and FoW were two of the best parts in GW1.

Also, I would greatly prefer that they were 8 man dungeons, a la GW1.

I would like to see these back as well . The way i would like to see it implemented is Once the temple of Balthazar or Grenth events have succeeded an avatar of would pop up and grant access to FoW or UW .

I hope FoW doesn’t become a elite zone. That would be the stupidest idea ever.

Instead, it should be a WvW center map. In the middle, we fight over the Temple of War.

5x Warrior, 5x Ranger, 4x Elementalist, 4x Engineer,
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant

Create elite dungeons. Make them both difficult and challenging, and have a warning before entering “This content is intended for capable players. Enter at your own risk.”. Never nerf this content.

Why not just play Guild Wars?

And, secondly, no to the entire idea. Nobody is Ascended, Weh-No-Su, or has survived the portal to the Realm of Torment that Varesh summoned at Gandara. You’re not cool enough to hang out with the gods.

And, thirdly, no to the entire idea. Human Gods are silent, and their domains don’t allow Norn, Asura, Sylvari, or Charr (Although there is at least once source for Charr revering Melandru).

Besides, Menzies and Dhuum aren’t really any part of the story, the Dragons are.

By that logic, how is it that we suffer from ’’Agony’’ while it is not caused by Mursaat?

It would be a waste if Guild Wars 2 would not offer a return to the Underworld and Fissure of Woe.

I would suggest expanding on things like the mad realm, which was already a step in the good direction.

If I can’t play Guild Wars 2 at work, I won’t work in Guild Wars 2 either.

I want to see the Underworld and FoW return as massive open dungeons. Not linear, but accessible to large groups of people. Make them like an explorable, with dynamic events in them, resource nodes, custom armor, and an epic boss at the end. Fissure of Woe never got the final boss it deserved in GW1, so add Menzies as a boss for that, and of course Dhuum at the end of the Underworld.

It also would be nice to make fow and underworld and perhaps also the domains of the other gods which we didnt see in guild wars 1 as own regions, made of various open world zones, like the orr areas, with big event chanis. Also this regions should include some cool dungeons.
And why not add some elite armor (only cool skin, no better stats)? For example, there is a balthasar armor that you can only get if you have a certain number of tokens of every fow-dungeon and also have finished a certain number of events in fow.

And why not start with melandru’s, lyssa’s or dwayna’s realm? After all, we’ve seen 3 out of 6 realms, and they’re still there if we wanted them.

I always wondered what melandru’s realm would look like.
