Yes, the title pretty much sums it up. It really annoys me (and others I could imagine) that I can’t see how my shield looks when it isn’t sheathed. I believe it is unnecessary to show the visual aegis when not in combat, and it just looks awkward, when role-playing for instance.

Well, you see, as a guardian, I have no choice but to have it showing all the time. Maybe it would actually be smarter to somehow be able to toggle it on/off. Anyhow, it was just a suggestion

I agree with stoffer. So many of my candid screenshots are ruined by a giant blue shield.

While I can see where you’re coming from, I personally
have no problem with it. It’s pretty beautiful I think.
However, being able to toggle the effect on or off could be
an idea; afterall, opponents are still able to see whether you
have your Aegis activated by clicking you. Yet, I think it’s partly
necessary, as it serves as a visual clue as to whether or not your
next (perhaps High-CoolDown & High-Damage Ability) gets completely
negated or not.
