Tis only what you can do for all
Remove Represent and multiple guilds
Tis only what you can do for all
I agree, I find myself to represent different guilds based on what I’m doing.
Make it one guild per character atleast. Or limit it to 2 guilds Account wide.
yeah this is the only issue that i can currently think might be a problem. That of people having a wvwvw guild they use whern doing that and having a pve guild for when they do dungeons. But if this is done, it wont be gone forever just until they make it how it should be. Guilds can then adjust and offer both if its an issue for alot of their members.

What makes you think getting rid of the multiple guild thing is what most players want? Got anything to back up that claim?
If most people want to be part of one guild only, they are able to do so already without a problem. There have always been guildhoppers, at least now they can represent your guild when they want to instead of leaving and joining.

Okay, thanks for sharing your opinion then I guess.
Wouldn’t work this far into the game.
People have already established themselves into the mold of having a guild for WvW, a guild for dungeons, a guild for events and a guild for friends. It would cause some pretty heavy chaos when these people would have to move from all these guilds to just one. And let’s be serious, some of these guilds are actually pretty useful. Try getting into a squad in WvW when you’re not in a guild, for one.
Also, there are guilds which are centered on communities that are primarily outside of Guild Wars 2. These kind of guilds, along with the “guilds for friends” ones would be taking the biggest hits in terms of losses of members.
It’s good for players to have an option of belonging to a guild that focuses on tPvP, a guild that focuses on WvW, a social guild, a guild of family/real life friends.
I am a guild leader that actively encourages my members to have multiple guilds. I’ve gone and searched out a PvP guild that they can participate with, put links on our website, and announce their events and activities in our MotD. People have different activities that they enjoy doing, and one guild can’t be everything to every player. It’s impossible. Multiple guilds help keep the highest number of players in the game. I’d much rather have a member go rep someone else for a couple of hours, or even a couple of weeks, than to quit the game entirely.

I think being able to be in multiple guilds is a great feature. The main guild of which I am an officer as well has moved from GW1 and I’m mostly representing them while doing PvE and dungeons. I am also part of a separate gamer community that isn’t that active at the moment, which I represent when one of those people wants to play. I’m looking for a WvW guild on my server which I then would represent if I’m in WvW, because my main guild isn’t that much into WvW.
None of these guilds is forcing me to represent them, and only them. I like the freedom of being part of different groups. Limiting me to only be part of one guild would severely hamper my enjoyment of this game, as I would need to go out of my way to find people to play with.
A friend of mine is a commander in WvW and he is part of an additional ‘commander only’ guild. This enables him and all other commanders on my server to quickly see who’s online and call in another commander when calling it a day. Limiting people to one guild only would make this process very complicated.
I prefer the multiple guilds option. In GW1, because I could only be a member of ONE guild I HAD to opt for my Family’s guild that my son made. I would have preferred to choose another guild, but family comes first, right?!! In GW2, I can primarily hang out with my chosen guild (I am a one guild kinda person. I join a guild for the social aspect. Pugs are fine for dungeons in GW2 even without vent) AND still be in my son’s guild. When he plays, I just switch. The multiple guild option has tremendously improved my gaming experience.

I would at least like the ability to hide or sort the guild members who are not representing.
I find it very frustrating that when I am looking for a guild member (or just to see who is online) in my roster and have to scroll through many who are not representing.
