Remove WvW from PvE completion
What I don’t get about the Monthly Ach. list is that you have to not die /and/ wrack up dozens of kills in WvWvW as part of the requirements. Asside from the WvWvW requirement being a rather awkward and uncomfortable fit within the Monthly Ach. and how this puts purely PvE players very much outside of its remit, getting dozens of WvWvW kills and never dying isn’t particularly likely now is it.
Suggestion:-
- Take the WvWvW component out of the Monthly Ach. requirements.
well i feel your pain. the biggest issue with this for me is that you have 4 regions, but only 2 unique maps. you have the center one, and one for ever server, but the server ones are all the same! this means you have to complete the same map 3 times. this gets annoying, especially when, like you said, are on the losing side.
as to “defektive.3540”, the not die achievement is pretty easy once you get high level in pve, and if i may give you a tip, crafting gives you exp that counts towards that achievement as well (also try not to jump of cliffs to much, death by falling was my number one cause of having to start over that achievement XD)
Just so you know it is not PVE completion, it is World Completion, which entails exploring every land, not just the ones with monsters on them alone. WvW borderlands are not hard to get IMO it just requires a little walking and it gives some incentive for those players who may be questioning it a reason to fight for their server.
I just tried ‘’a little walking’’ ,our server is running away/nowhere to be seen and enemies are pushing basically on every direction of the map and what I mean is that they should make separate PvE and WvW completion.
This is one of the reasons for why queues are so massive, either remove map completion in WvW from the overall World Completion, which would make sense since WvW is part of the Mists, i.e not the world, or mirror the borderlands, so that each server can complete the map in it’s respective borderlands.

i didnt mind wvw for 100% completion at first. i was able to get my main through it all during the one day turnaround cycles in a few days. it wasnt that big of a deal. but now that im working on my alts+1 week cycles, its become excruciatingly daunting. it will be even worse when the two week cycles start.
now i do think they need to address it in some way.
It’s not PvE completion, it’s just completion. So I’m a no.

Nobody ever said world completion should be an easy task…or fast.
And if you’re so anxious to get it, just change to a more “WvW focused” server for a day and get your missing map points…
@Jiggawattz.2697 just so u kno WvWvW happens in the mists u kno same place as Underworld u didnt need to clear UW for 100% explor in GW1
and i argee and posted as much WvWvW need for 100% and all puzzles must go if i wanted to get ganked doing pve activity id go role on a PvP server on another MMO.
WvW is part of the world…. Keep it as is. Don’t forget your position rotates constantly, so it really isn’t hard to just wait til your base is by the points you need.
Also@Defektive, You aren’t required to get the WvW monthly achievement and the XP w/out dieing achievement at the same time. They do give you a whole month to complete them, which is plenty of time to do them seperately. If anything were to be changed about the monthly achievements it would be the insanely high salvaging requirement.

^^ this, In GW1 Carto was more difficult but none of it was in PvP arenas, or Heroes Ascent or GvG Maps. I agree it has no place in World Completion as its part of the mists, if your gonna do the mists what else will we have to do the Underworld, Fissure of Woe, Redeemed Realm +X-amount of other dimensional worlds. Makes no sense lore at all. Don’t force PvP content into PvE content, it doesn’t work. On that when I finish my personal story don’t give me WvW junk.
I kind of disagree with OP, except for one thing:
Have all poi and vistas OUTSIDE of towers, forts and castles.
This way you wouldn’t have to change server or wait until your world takes over each and every structure in WvW.

as a compromise i would settle for PoI and vista being outside the forts and castles thats not a bad idea if they wont remove it from the 100% needed
I completely agree. It gives you a chance to sneak around. There’s this keep that is right next to the enemies starting point. How the hell will i ever get it if the Q is almost full 24/7 every reset/ To get there fast enough to claim my poi.. Move them out so I can sneak in or something.
+1 for them being outside the towers/keeps.
It’s becoming ridiculous right now, I will have to camp for weeks if I want to complete them all while I much more prefer to play PvE.
