Remove the cap on conditions
The reported reason is bandwidth. I don’t really understand what that means, but that’s what they say.

That is so true, in WvW lack of cap would be very OP but in PvE you basically get punished the better you are. I can stack 25 bleeds solo with my nec and then people stack their bleeds and group loses overall damage. They should remove the bleed cap from PvE so you can do the damage you should do, also this would open a way for new pve builds (with condition increased duration).
Good solution would also be caps per character so your bleeds wouldn’t stack with bleeds of the others.
The problem is everything is balanced around pvp/wvw.
So if its OP in PvP they will balance it without a second thought for PvE.
exactly! I hate that this cap of conditions is the only thing keeping me from lvling a necro..
In GW1 they at least made an effort to seperate pvp and pve.

If that’s the only thing keeping you from leveling a necro, then just level it. Really? Play what you want, it doesn’t have to be optimal. And if it does, then you playing with the wrong groups.

Conditions are capped due to technical limitations. Each stack of a condition is independently tracked by the server. Without a cap, the server would bottleneck and result in unplayable lag, server request time-outs (disconnects), and possibly server crashes which can result in data corruption and server roll-backs.
Changing this would be a programming nightmare I wouldn’t wish on those soulless husks over at EA.
Hmm sure, but if they at least increased the cap to say; 40 stacks. It would make it possible for 2 condition builds in one grp? or would 40 be too much?
Yeah, they should do things just like in GW1, separate PvE and PvP.
