Its just sad that after spending real money in life you can just sometimes end up with nothing to show for it but tonics. Seasonal chests in gem store shouldn’t have it, nothing worse than opening chests and after looking at what you got, it pretty much shows only tonics. One time use items that pretty much don’t help you at all in game and you end up with more tonics than you’ll ever use for costume brawls. In my opinion, for any new events that happen, replace the tonics with anything else. Anything. Keys, heavy bags of gold, even guild influence items would be more useful. I don’t think anyone wants to spend hard earned money for such lame items or have ever been excited to get them from chests. That’s probably the big problem with chests, you can spend so much money but end up with only tonics. Instead of tonics it can even be some sort of special coin that you can turn in the gemstore to pick up a chest item of your choosing if you acquire enough of those coins!
I learned my lesson in Halloween. I will never spend another gem on a Black Lion Chest as long as I live. 15 chests and I received nada to show for it. Which would have been fine, since 15 may not be that many… until I met a guy who paid out over $900 in gems, all on keys, and STILL got nothing.
Never again. Even if I play the game regularly again like I used to, I will never waste another dime on black lion keys. The RNG is just too terrible.
Well i dont like the tonics either i must say the festive boxes are not that expensive and the first one i opend had a mini inside
Well that is pretty lucky for you but if you try it again, most of the time you will not end up with much, if anything at all but those tonics. Those horrible, infuriating, horrifying tonics.
Pretty common thing in MMO’s, I mean.. random real cash paid bags/boxes.;)
