I agree that it is dull and boring. But i still wouldn’t want it removed as it means a different kind of risk when you enter it.

Enter in the water at your won risk… I always flee to the water when outnumbered because i know how to fight there while most do not (and i’m not a ranger).

The problem with the borderland maps in general is that they have so much wasted space where nothing happens. I’m in favor of large maps that spread out the action, but there is very little action in the water and all the cliffs on land channel everything into small areas as well. None of it was very well thought out, and the easiest way to make an improvement would be to drain the majority of the lake in each BL.

The water in EB is fine and adds atmosphere, the water in the Borderlands feels like a huge waste of space, along with the Skill Point locations.

Any body of water is basically invulnerability mode for you.

we need underwater keeps/towers, put them in a cave where there is ‘dry land’ for the defends but any assault has to come from the water.
I think it need more water with ship versus ship combat.
I agree somewhat, there is way too much water on WvW maps it needs to be taken down a little, but not completely removed. If WvW water was changed it should be like a river running the width of the map but only rifle range wide. The river could then be very deep and support underwater cave system thus doubling the amount of playable map available, with the ability to fight near purely on land or underwater. For land, I would like to see trenches placed where the water is now that give buffs like toughness for being entrenched and with far larger NPC garrisons.
Just don’t add more water. You don’t Have to fight in water the way it is. Its ok balance.
They could be frozen or partially until watery gameplay becomes more compelling or liked by our forum participants. A thin , or thick, layer of ice would probably patch things over for the immediate time being.
Removing water is silly. Infact it should have its own stormy environmental effects, maybe even tidal waves that can sweep across the land. BUT this would be probably too hard for the devs to do. Ships with cannons would be a great idea.
