I have to say first that I love doing the jumping puzzle in a pvp environement but the problem I am facing right now is that some people, including me, my server argue that people on JP are taking spot of other that would actually help the server.

On my side I know we help people getting chest so they get siege, even if you can buy siege, my point is not there, doing the JP is fun, fighting in it is fun too!

So my point is, in a sens i agree with those people who think we are useless in the EB WvW, i still believe that one’s need to play the game he wants, those in pve do pve and if they don’t contribute to WvW it’s fine with me as long as they have fun.

The solution would be to make the pvp JP puzzle in it’s own instance, so that way, we know that people who come there wants to be in there for the purpose of fun or just getting their badges and rewards.

Please Answer me so I can know the good and the bads to this, if a dev can answer with their idea’s too that would be great.

Thank you

My native language is french so this message can be confusing , i hope you get the whole thing!

um it is in an instance of its own, you have to get there through EB but u still have to go through a portal to get there like in any instance. and it is a battle pvp jumping puzzle, it is fun to do and complete on your own time, and the people that do the jumping puzzle want to do it…so i dont see what your complaining about…there is nothing wrong with the puzzle and it should be left where it is. it is suppose to be a challenge and if u just wont your own lil seperate jumping puzzle instance where u cant get hit by other players then do the pve ones or the holiday ones… but they will not change the way the EB JP is as there isno problem with it. Dont fix things that arent broken.

I understand the hate against the puzzle in EB for some servers. During prime time we have queues and have the trouble of the world to get more then 20 people together while facing way bigger zergs. The problem is at least 30 people camping the jumping puzzle. If the jumping puzzle would get seperated from EB so the people in it don’t fil up a spot on the map so the people that want to help out in WvW can get in. Then that would help a lot for servers which have a lot of Randoms Pugs in EB. (At night time when close to outmanned we often get a bigger zerg together then during prime time with queue :/)

I’m not a fan of zerging, but if you’re playing with randoms. You often have no other option.

Ok maybe i didn’t express myself clear on what I wanted to say, let me try again.

TrashHunterz understood what i meant by it, what i meant to say is the jumping puzzle in EB (who is really fun to do and i like the fact that it’s pvp) is taking spot on some server because it is instanced, yes, but still is part of EB queue list.

So the problem is that when 20 people like to camp JP it’s 20 spot less for people who would like to come and fight in WvW.

My part of understanding your reply is that you didn’t know where i am standing on the subject and i hope its clearer now.

If you make The jumping puzzle in it’s own Queue witch will probably wont be full all the time, that will make both of the people (wvw vs jumping puzzle people) happy.

You are probably fine with the way it is now, cool, but some are not, let’s see what they have to say about it.

It would really make me happy if someone from anet could reply to this topic to let us know if there is any chance they will change anything about the current situation. Right now it is demotivating a lot of players that go in EB to do WvW in certain servers.

Giving certainty is at least better then nothing.

<<<<< Commander PvE Scrubber here.

while i still hate the idea of the JP’s and map exploration in Eternal Battlegrounds, unfortunately, it is the quickest way for me to get my 500 badges towards my legendary right now. I zerg’d for 3 hours over the weekend (actually playing), and only received ONE Badge when i decided to wall cannon camp (actually playing) for an additional 2 hours.

i do appreciate the helpful mesmers for the free portals, and as soon as i get my 500 badges (260 more to go), i would gladly turn tail and never go back to World Vs. World again…unless i needed another 500 for another legendary. i just wish by then the system for more badges presents itself, and simplifies their acquisition rates/methods. Map completion yielded my first 10 badges (good start).

i am currently getting 14-15 badges per 80 character i have, every other night. I have 3 level 80s, and a low level alt that only gets 2-3 badges. i just wished the puzzle reset when the dailies reset.
