I would gladly pay gems for a rename token. Turns out that throw away Ranger I was playing with just to see what’s what really grew on me, and I would like to rename her to something less silly.

Since GW1 names are now available, seems like a good time to allow folks to rename their characters.

Honestly I’m curious as to why it’s not out already. Yes I know these things take time but the item is IN the game currently, as is the ability to change name since people with inappropriate names have forced changes upon login. If this is one of their most requested features (as was told to me when I inquired about it) then how come they’re holding it back? I hope we see it in the patch on the 14th!

I have to agree this is something we should have had already I know I will be buying one or two first day it is out..

This this and more of this. Please add this soon, this is an untapped source of revenue for Anet. Please implement it, there are a lot of us who wish to have it.

You handled character remodeling very well and I hope you do the same with this.

Yeah, because future content is such an easily accessible and known about feature to most players.

To find the link you have to really hunt the front page and it is worded strangely.

All you did was make yourself out to be “that guy” who gets his jollies by making others feel bad. There was a much better way of handling your response.

Whether it’s planned or not, perhaps if enough people indicate that there is a profit to be made off the time investment necessary, then the priority will be escalatedd. Ergo, post not wasted. Thanks for playing though!

I mean I could be wrong and “Future Content” could just mean freshly baked bagels and has nothing to do with the game despite it being the official game wiki…

Newsflash! This is a game, not your work rota or tax form.
People are allowed to be lax about it. There’s absolutely no need to be condescending because someone hasn’t scouted the web for one little piece of information before asking a question.

Also I’m going to let you in on a secret : some people don’t even know that there is a wiki for about everything. Yes I know, shocker….

On another note, I’m really looking forward to that addition. I too, got a character that I grew to love and yet everytime I see his name on the select character screen, I cringe a little bit.
Am not too worried if that change takes a little while to be implemented. Just to know that it is coming is good enough for me
