Replace MF with Condition Duration
not signed.. would be to OP/ easy access on that.
Every item that had before as 3rd stat MF on, should just get as 3rd stat randomly either Power, Vitality, Precision or Tougness in regard of what the other 2 stats already are…

No! I don’t want some random RNG stat bullkitten. Give me a full refund in laurels for my golden lotus with magical infusion and a full refund in gold for my Errol’s set with magic find runes. I also want a refund for yakkington’s ring.
I have over a month’s laurels and over 20 full FOTM pristine relics invested in magic find gear. Thanks for asking for everyone like myself to get completely screwed over.

bullkitten, whats this nowadays with all these guys in these days believing that they deserve to get every kitten refunded when somethign gets changed in a game ???
Seriously, get this out of your head finally, Anet doesn’t refund anything!!
They never did yet and they surely never will do anythign like that in future.
It was your decision to use all your laurels and money ect on these items. You had like a year of time profit on that stuff and gained alot more rarer items ect than anyone that didn’t used for all that time MF stuff.
ANd now only because Anet changes the MF system into something accoutn bound, that is more fair for all of the communty, you keep on QQ like crybabies over something, that was from the begin on your decision to use money/laurels on to get for some lime alot more profit than other players.
Its always the same with this kind of greedy players that can’t get their throats full enough and are always the first in the line kittening and whining around, once something gets changed that brought them in a huge advantage over other players, only because they had the time/money to make themself all that needed equipment ect.
If you go to MC Donalds to go eat there a hamburger and they change then the recipe of the Hamburger, so that it will taste different now, then you also don’t go there and demand on them to refund you your first already eaten hamburger, only because they changed their recipes >.>

Because this is one of the first occurrences of them removing an entire stat from the game from gear people have already purchased? Most people who own MF gear, own it because they have magic find, without the magic find the armor has no purpose for them, except re transmuting any rare skins they had.

You have no way to know exactly how often everyone used their magic find gear, and exactly how much they profited or did not profit over non magic find users.

Yeah, I’m going to take a wild guess and say if anet decided to remove a major stat from zerk gear, there would be even more rage.
As for the hamburger analogy, I’m not sure if that is fully comparable, since you would have bought the hamburger after they changed the recipe, McDonald would have to be able to change the recipe of the hamburger you bought, after you bought it(impossible), for it to be comparable.
Aside from that, people rage over companies randomly changing recipes all the time.

I am sure they have something in mind. There’s no way that they are going to just change the Magic Find on your armor over to a different, specific stat though. Not everyone uses Condition Damage. If they did that, they’d be asking for even more outcry than you’re getting in the forums now.

I wasn’t even going to respond to this thread, but geez, calm the kitten down. Why does the idea of a refund upset you so much? Not only is your response completely out of line with the tone of the thread, you’re downright wrong. ANet has given WvW point refunds when doing nothing more than adding new things to spend them on. It’s quite reasonable to suggest that the primary stat being removed from a piece of gear would involve at least some sort of trade in system, like the various systems they’ve used to remove excess quantities of materials from the market in the past, if not an outright refund.
Also, your analogy is nonsense. If I bought a bacon cheeseburger and halfway through, the manager came and took the bacon out of it, you’re kitten right I’d get a refund. Heck, if they changed their bacon cheeseburger to no longer have bacon and I ordered one after the change—I’d still get a refund, because that is the reason I bought the product. It is, in fact, the primary selling point of the product and would be false advertising if the bacon cheeseburger does not include bacon. What does that have to do with changing something that’s already been paid for? Nothing, just like your analogy.
But no, I don’t think I want Power + Precision + Condition Duration on my Explorer’s gear.
