According to the Guild Wars 2 Wiki, “Josh Foreman has said that a lot of the development team would like to return to Cantha and encourages interested players to ask for a future Canthan region (in a positive, friendly way).” Therefore, here I am, asking for a future Canthan region (in a positive, friendly way), as I am an interested player.

From the original Guild Wars and its expansions, I would say that I liked the environments of Factions the most (with the exception of the run-down areas of Kaineng City). If the development team where to bring back, say, just Shing Jea Island, I would be very happy. In addition (I’m going to get a bit “in your dreams”-y here), perhaps they could add the Tengu as a playable race: the areas surrounding the Dominion of Winds (DoW) suggest that there is a lot of potential for the Tengu to be implemented in the game, and opening up the DoW would be a good way for the developers to explain how contact with Cantha has been established (Tengu are native to Cantha so it would make sense for them to maintain contact with their homeland).

This is top of my wanted features list, and I think a lot of other players want this too. Please, Arenanet, give us Cantha!

There’s already a 30 something page on the topic. ArenaNet knows we want Cantha. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time. They need to flesh out Tyria first.

Flesh out Tyria? Please expand. Do you mean fill the gap between them implementing a Canthan zone and now?

As he posted, check out the thread. It’s great and I check it every day. No, what I meant is that there are still plenty of regions we were able to explore in Tyria in GW1 that still aren’t currently available in GW2 such as the Ring of Fire, the rest of Maguuma, Far Shiverpeaks, Charr Homelands, some of Ascalon, some of the southern “shiverpeaks”, Crystal Desert, and Isles of Janthir.

I’d guess that once the regions are fully fleshed out and Tyria is lively and has expanded further, they’ll start considering Cantha and/or Elona.

They haven’t opened up RoF or the Crystal Desert ( i want revenge for Glint ) so until they do that I can wait on Cantha
