Could it possible to make a new world zone with more realistic and less-random clutter-immersion-breaking-content? Like the first game?

Example: Your own video game art.
You have beautiful rivers, mountains with fortresses surrounded by sweeping planes. Could we have some of this?
When a zone border comes up just add a cliff or something extensive land beyond we can’t jump DOWN to but still see across into more land… like the old game.

Dynamic Events could be that the forts or towns or outposts get attacked once every 6 to 12 hours so that guilds could claim them and maintain the zones.

__Basic Zone Design:
- Very large map, mostly scenic
- No hostile mobs roaming around but those below
- Three to Five SMALL fortresses: Say Mendork’s Gap size, Eternal Battlegrounds. Anything larger doesn’t focus on the content and is just alot of running around inside pointlessly large spaces.
- No central keep. No Large keeps.
- An area or two with supplies
- An area or two to harvest supplies for the supplies-camp(s)
- Supply camps should be small, fortified locations.
- Geometrically progressive content and events (see below)
- Map resets like Battlegrounds but once a fortnight, not once a week
- Emphasis of Map: Community against: NPC type
- Fortresses can be upgraded into truly marvelously structures

__ Details:
Large, open zones with few creatures except in camps, like Everquest 1 had.
- The camps could be open world raid content.
— Very hard, requiring of groups, etc. Difficult. Time consuming.
- If the camps become un-camped for too long they start popping out armies. The armies aren’t stopped they build siege camps and start attacking the forts.
— the Siege camps are very hard and become world content to be stopped requiring groups or even raids to break. These would be very large events. Time consuming.
- If the Siege camps are not stopped they would capture a keep creating an entire region controlled by NPCS.
— the Fortresses would be very hard to retake, requiring a guild or larger effort. Time consuming.
- If the Fortresses are not captured they start sending out raiding parties and patrols. Coordinated effort would be required for retaking the region.

- Controlling all of the fortresses in this world zone gives gives a WvW and PvE buff to that server.
Randomly, a dragon spawn on the map which takes several phases to bring down:
Phase 1: It flies around, and sieges a fortress.
- If not repelled it takes the fortress and destroys it. Fortress remains destroyed until rebuilt.
- After destroying that fortress it moves on to another
Phase 2: The dragon is significantly harmed such that it can no longer fly.
- It can be harmed by players building cannons and a defensive camp against it and/or during a fortress siege.
- It now roams the map destroying things.
- If the players build a defensive camp it will seek them out.
Phase 3:
- It is too weakened to siege any longer.
- It must now be weakened and killed.
- During a weakened state it is not mobile.

The attacks would be related to the region. So Minotaur (Kryta), Risen (Orr), etc

Lol at Mendork. :P

I like this idea. If I understand correctly, it’s a sort of bringing some of the fun of PvP to PvE, but with a couple twists.

For one, it would eliminate the stress of encoutering human enemies, which can be nerve shattering to a beginner. This could add as a sort of middle ground that would maybe, entice people reluctant to go to WvW or PvP to go get a small taste of what it would be like.

Second, after having seen how servers can organize to kill Tequatl, I think that the communities have matured enough to find such a sustained, coordinated effort to hold a map, something not only feasible, but fun.

I hope something like this does get implemented, eventually. It would be fun. ^^
