The fact that now an entire group needs to drop combat so that 1 person can respawn is a bit unfair in areas where res’ing the downed player is impossible. E.G.: final boss on path 3 of CoF. If one member falls in the lava at 75% then they may as well go grab a beer, use the bathroom, smoke a cig do whatever, but realize they won’t be playing again for about 10 minutes. Maybe when instances like this take place create a new temporary “combat wp” that is usable while in combat. I don’t know what could be done, but I do know the game was more fun before this change.

I can understand that there are situations where this change can be frustrating but it was a necessary change to give GW2 PvE any semblance of challenge.

With the old mechanic GW2 PvE was essentially in a state where you could not fail. But for game-play to be engaging and challenging, failure must be an option.
