Ressing players should...
1) The only downside to this, is people could abuse it, just jump off cliffs to suicide and revive eachother.
2) It should do that anyway to an extent :0

It gives you XP for doing it, I believe — and it helps you get the Combat Healer title.
I could see it working if the following restrictions are applied:
- Reviving the same player more then once within 10 minutes will grant no karma
- Only the first 4 players to a defeated user gain credit for karma for a revival
- Reviving a player in town or one who died from falling damage grants no karma
- Reviving a player within 1500 distance of a way-point will grant no karma
For the purposes of preventing abuse.
The time-limit is 10 minutes because the reward amount would be insignificant amount that there would be no farming value to this.
