Resurrecting, waypoint
that should be a no-brainer…resurrecting shouldn’t cost money, when you die it should default to the closet point at no cost, give you the option to accept and ressurrect now, or decline and choose an alternate point at the normal cost.
agreed!
after playing guild wars for years! i am really trying to understand who is the dev/designer who lack this minimal level of empathy that even suggested this unwise gold sink.
Waypoint Fees are Punitive. the must go away. before the players go.
Free Resurection is Elementary specially when we dont have monks or heros who can res us. and specially while some maps are absolutely empty of players (another bad. bad. bad. very bad. game design. making too many worlds in which no one can really meet anyone when he needs!)
Make it free to travel to the nearest waypoint on death. So run naked, and as long as you make it at least half way to the next waypoint, you can die, and instantly speed up your travel.
And let’s stop removing small amounts of gold from the game for a moment, allow for inflation to set in faster. Let it get to a point where new players can’t buy any materials off the TP, because green wood logs are now worth the 1-2 silver that the average player who’s been around for a while has to spend on them. Sounds like a great idea!
So shines a good deed in a naughty world.

You’re funny with your menaces. If there’s anything, lack of death penalty is what makes people go, not the other way around.
Not dieing is elementary. If you don’t die, you don’t have to pay for resurrection and you also save on repairs too. Not playing alone helps too. If some maps are too empty for you to solo and survive, go play in maps where there’s more people and keep empty maps for when you’re in party with friends.
