The change was unnecessary and uncalled for, it basically screws Dagger Elementalists as it adds a split second to our combo’s and anyone that plays a lot of sPvP knows how valuable that split second is.
Ironically, Arcane Brilliance is purely designed for Dagger Elementalists and has no place for Scepter and Staff.
ArenaNet your lack of knowledge for the Elementalist is astounding as this change makes no sense in terms of game design, especially when there are far better answers.
- Get rid of the Ground Targeting on Arcane Wave, give Arcane Blast a ground targeting BLAST finisher. The most unused Arcana skill already has the word Blast in it, why not buff Arcane Blast?
- Add ground targeting to a trait like Arcane Retribution. This is why traits exist in the first place, to add versatility.
Arcane Retribution: Gain Arcane Power when your health drops below the threshold. Arcane Wave now uses ground targeting.
- Make Arcane Brilliance ground targeting and Arcane Wave not. This healing skill is purely designed for Dagger Elementalists. If it was ranged, ALL types of Elementalists can use it and not just daggers. While Arcane Wave will still have a place in high-tier sPvP.
