The concerns:

• WvW is played around the world, having a fixed start schedule will constantly punnish those players who are at sleep/work/indisposed at reset time.
• WvW offers buffs to servers that do well. Many more players play over the weekend than during the week, and resetting WvW on Friday (just before the weekend) is a kind of punishment to those players.

The suggestion:
Run WvW for 7 days 11 hours before reset. This will:

• Rotate WvW start times through all 24 hours.
• Rotate WvW start dates through all 7 days of the week.
• (If my math works out) Rotate WvW start times through all 24 hours of each day of the week.

When does WvW reset? What time is that in X place?

Having it be a set time and day each week means that everyone knows when it resets once they learn it in the first place. And while the time might not be ideal for everyone, it’s going to be a good time for a majority of players. And well, that’s all that matters because NO time will be good for anyone, even if it does rotate.

The buffs serve a purpose of getting people on during the week to take advantage of any buffs. ANet probably chose Friday for that reason. Give people another reason to get on during the week.

Not hard to list reset time in game. Might even put it on the WvW info screen, with a handy ‘x hours to reset’ timer, making timezones irrelevant.

Reset times are now fine for the majority of players. It’s kind of bad luck for those not living in Europe oder NA, but with that rotation, not only will they punish that majority, but the reset times will also by off for everybody else most of the time.
