Why are there no safe havens on any of the maps you can go to, to prevent yourself from getting attacked while momentarily AFK? Everyone says just log out, well I think that is a bit lame tbh. What if you are queued up for WvWvW while at the same time running hearts on a map, and you momentarily need to go afk? Do you then log off losing your place in queue, or do you bite the bullet and accept the repair cost on your armor when you come back finding yourself dead?

Don’t know what you’re talking about, I always go afk sometimes for like an hour or until it disconnects me and I’ve never died while afk.
You just need to get a little away from the mobs, there are many places without aggresive ones, like most towns, waypoints or vistas. Some may change because of a DE but that only happens now and then and not everywhere.
