I would like to see a check box similar to “show only available” that lets you filter by items usable by your profession. So for engineer, I could select weapons and check that box and only rifles, shields, and pistols would be displayed in my search results (for example.) For armor, only medium armor would be displayed, because engineers are adventurers.

Another search feature that would be nice is the ability to search for gear by what attributes it boosts (precision, power, healing power, etc.)

Again, they had it in beta but replaced it with the show only available one. It is a very very simple thing to add back in as it’s just a web interface they simply have to add a check box with a weight parameter for light medium and heavy.
