What’s the correct way to collect information for a botter?

I’ve been reporting some bots lately, but they still appear to continue to bot weeks after I report them.

I could use some help here. What I have been doing is clicking on support, selecting Report a Bug.

When I am in Bug Report, I wait for the botter to appear and take a screenshot, the I select Crafting > Ingredients and finally provide the name and guild of the player to the support team.

Anything else I should I be doing?

…and am I correct when I see players drop in and disappear on a node or waypoint repeatedly as botters?

I want to know if there’s a way I can grab a botter’s ID once they’ve done their vanishing act. I’ve seen botters spawn at a node, mine it and vanish again, but by the time I’ve realised what’s happening and moved my mouse pointer over to them, they’re gone.

We thank you a lot for the reports you are providing us about bots. We understand that the teleporting bots are a bit difficult to catch. You can, as well, take screenshots or videos of the bots and send the to the CS team – http://en.support.guildwars2.com/ – so they can have evidence of the bot. If not, or if you are fast enough, the report tool of the game also serves.

Again, thanks a lot for your help. The team must be very careful when dealing with these issues and anything you can help us with is welcome. That is why they might take some time to ban a bot, but eventually, all bots will be gone. We have done this before
