Selectable Sigil and Rune slots.
So if I’m reading this right, you want to be able to have more than one sigil on each weapon and/or armor slot? Then, you want to be able to select which one you want of those two or three or four that you have stored on the singlepiece of gear whenever you want that one? You’re asking for these gear-enhancements to work like utility skills, effectively?
If that is what you’re saying, it’s way too overpowered.

You’d have the sigils stored in the weapon, but only one would be in effect at a time (until they implement the two sigil two hander thing.)
I don’t understand how it would be overpowered. If I had 3-5 weapons with different sigils, would that be overpowered? This would have the same limitations. You can only swap out of combat. This implementation would save inventory space and make less used sigils more useful.
It would also corrupt the market (economy) on those less-used sigils . . . on all sigils, actually. It would undermine certain amounts of individuality in the game. If everyone could always swap to the right sigil, then everyone would just stop combat and put up the Dredge Sigil all at once and burn through the content. It would make it so there are no choices in particular situations. It would essentially force your hand to only purchase certain sigils for certain weapons. I think the current system is fine, if you want the extra damage to Black Legion, get the potion from an Artificer and keep your +power or +crit % or whatever you use stat-wise.

As oppose to filling up inventory with weapons with different sigils?
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Some do that, some don’t. I personally don’t. I have a few weapons I use, but I don’t keep a lot of different sigilled weapons in my bags. I don’t see the point. However, if I had the option to put a bunch of sigils on one weapon, that would happen easily. I wouldn’t think it was right, but I would exploit it if it were in the game – much in the way people do the Champion Zergs.

I don’t see how this will exploit the game.
In fact, it will make the game better. If I bought a Rune of the Lich rune, I don’t have to be pigeonholed into my Rune of the Scholar set. I can one day just play as a Death Knight that summons minion with my warrior. Or the next day, play as a Beastmaster that summons rockdogs.
I rather have freedom of play than being pigeonholed because of your so called “individuality”.

If you want to do that, the only thing stopping you is you. There are no DPS trackers, there’s no inspect mechanic, so you can do whatever you want with your profession as it is. The way you describe your idea, you’ll be able to change at whim to a certian situation. So you’ll be “pigeonholed” based on the foes you’re fighting. It’s not very individualized if you’re a catch-all class.
