Sell runes of holding at laurel vendor.
I think it would be nice to have more options for spending laurels. Since 10 unid dyes sell for 5 laurels, and they are worth about 21s each, you can pretty much value a laurel at around 40s. Runes of holding are sold 10g, so i’d say a 25 laurels for 1 rune of holding would be a fair trade.
Heavy Crafting Bag. 1 Laurel, 3 T6 mats. That’s 40-90s per Laurel.
But other than that, I don’t think it’s a good idea. Rune of Holding is sold at an NPC for a reason. It’s a gold sink. But hey, if you’re willing to spend 25 Laurels for a Rune of Holding, that’ll get you at least 10g, more likely 15g+.
Also since we are getting alot of new ascended items, i was thinking this could be taken a step further and you could make an ascended rune of holding, that could make a 25 slot bag, and could be crafted with lvl 500 crafting.
Again, gold sinks are there for a reason. They could put an ascended Rune of Holding to the NPCs that would be used to make 25 slot bags. But it would have to cost gold.
Ya you might get more with heavy crafting bags, but you can also get less, there is rng involved & thats why i compaired value with something more constant. Spending 25 laurels on heavy crafting bags, you would probably come out ahead over buying unid dyes. Good point though, maybe the laurel value is closer to 50s.
Most people use fractal bags because they are cheaper, which bypasses this gold sink. This would be a laurel sink, and it’s needed also, if everyone starts buying all heavy bags with all thier laurels then eventually it will have an impact on t6s. No matter what method you use to convert those laurels into gold you are effecting a market. And why i’d suggest something that consumes alot of laurels at one time, and it’s something people want & need multiples copies of.
I do like fractal bags because they help divide my drops, and make it easier for me to tell what to salvage and what to keep. But i also don’t like having all fractal bags because compact doesn’t work and they don’t have an invisible fractal bag. I think most people would rather use a fractal bag rather then spend 10g, and that makes the gold sink less effective.
