While out questing on a character I’ve often come across a tameable pet, resource location, or missed vista I want to later find again, and being able to send a mail to myself with a quick note of where it is would be extremely handy.

Being able to mail stuff to yourself would also allow you to store a mail with extra harvesting material, higher level gear or whatever at hand without sacrificing inventory space when you plan to be out in the field for a long time.

Also, when someone in a guild send you a mail with a useful bit of crafting or questing info, being able to save a copy to your bags/bank would be extremely helpful given the 10 limit space doesn’t allow you leave item-less correspondence in your mailbox.

(Yes one can alt tab to take notes, but it’s a pain in the butt and one more thing to keep track of outside of game and remember to take with you if you game from more then one location.)

Perhaps a better solution would be to lift the 10 mail limit on player sent mails as long as they do not contain attachments?

I also would find it helpful to be able to take a single item from a piece of mail without having to yank the entire stack of mailed goods into my bags.

A final suggestion would be to lift the flood control on mails sent between people who are mutually on each others friends lists. (I play with my significant other, and we are regularly sharing crafting mats, items, etc.. between our chars, and the flood limit quickly proves to be a nuisance when we both sit down to craft or sort loot.)

I think the reason you can’t send mail to yourself is extra inventory space. If you can just write yourself ten letters with 5 slots each, you just gained 50 extra slots for free. I think a better solution would be to just let players take notes in the journal tab, or in a separate tab that can then be keybound.

Journal is an excellant idea. i loved that Marrowing had it for exactlly the reason of making a note to places i wanted to visit later.

No to sending mail to yourself, as there’s no real point except for virtually increasing inventory space (you might as well just ask for unlimited inventory space).

Yes to no mail limit when both people are on each other’s friends list.

Yes to being able to remove one item from a mail without removing it all.

Suggestion: Guild Mail
Officers of a guild being able to send 1 mail to everyone of 1 or more specified ranks within the guild. This becomes very tedious when you have to send 1 mail to every member individually, especially when you can only send a limited number of mails every so often.

Example 1: the leader of a guild wants to make an announcement to everyone within the guild, so he writes a “guild mail” and checks the boxes for all ranks within the guild (or an “everyone” / “all members” check-box)
Example 2: the leader of a guild wishes to inform his/her subordinates of some important information, such as a change in guild policy, so he/she writes the mail and checks the boxes for the appropriate ranks
Example 3: an officer of a guild wishes to schedule a guild mission and inform all guild members of the place, time, and event, so he/she writes one mail and checks all the boxes or the “all members” check-box (if there is one)
