I mainly just like doing Dungeons, so whenever I’m reminded of completing the Daily I just get annoyed. As it’s only a chore for me rather than enjoyment.
I have to set aside 30-60 minutes for it and go hunting for events and crafting materials which is very boring for me, while I could instead be doing a dungeon.
While if you’re a regular PvE player, you won’t even notice it as it will naturally complete by itself while you’re playing.
Obviously, you’d say ‘This is optional, just don’t do it’. But I simply can’t set it aside like that. I didn’t feel this being a problem before, but now with the karma jugs, I feel like I’d be missing out a lot if I don’t do it. As I’m Dungeon focused and the Karma rewards there isn’t exactly ‘top notch’, so the karma jugs make me feel like I’m not completely forced into farming karma.
So here’s what I’m suggesting. Integrate or make a separate daily (obviously, you can only complete one or the other and not both) for the different oriented players.
Basically, for regular PvE players, we keep the regular Daily. While for the Dungeon oriented players we add an entirely new Daily which could be something like:
- Complete 1-2 Dungeons
Or, we integrate the regular Daily in a way to function along the new requirements.
Like, we set checkpoints in all Dungeons (like after beating a boss) which gives you the pop up ‘Event completed’, with no rewards, like if you were to complete a skill point spot a 2nd time. But they would function towards completing your Daily.
And we set an additional requirement alongside the ‘Daily Gatherer’. So it would have an additional bar and look something like:
Daily Gatherer / Dungeon Roamer
Where it could be 1 Dungeon complete.
After all, the Daily should be something that shouldn’t feel like a chore and just come natural while you’re playing. But the problem is, we’re starting to have different focuses (with the Fractals and all) and we’ll start getting players that are focused on one or the other more than ever.
