I believe it would be friendlier if ANet introduced new keybind that is just for looting separating that functionality from current multifunction jack-of-all-trades-and-master-of-none F (or whatever other key users have it bound to).
AOE looting would be a bonus but not required.
Even better – make the “autoloot” actually automatically loot, i.e. the loot appears in your inventory, instead of having us run around pressing F (or stand still and mash F in WvWvW, lest we miss something while trying to avoid attacks). The current autoloot isn’t an autoloot, it just saves us from having to press F an extra time. Is there some sort of situation when we wouldn’t want the loot if there’s room in our inventory?
