I was leveling my second character lately, and I’ve been going through the same areas I’ve been on my first one (Human). While it’s all the same, except that it seems events aren’t as frequent as they were when I first leveled, I think the enjoyment of my first character was… more fun.
I played during the 3 day headstart access, when Queensdale had hours of waiting in the overflow servers. And they were FULL. Events had easily 20+ and were a massive zergfest. People were everywhere.
Though I can’t say if that was the intended way the game was designed to be played, I really enjoyed these events.
Since now the population is scattered across all areas, and I’ve read that overflow servers were already cross-servers, I’m suggesting to bring back these cross-server areas.
Instead of having the “Queensdale” server, send all players to a “Queensdale” server which holds players from all Worlds. This way, Queensdale would always be full (pretty much like Overflows). And to address overpopulation, call them… Queensdale #1. And Queensdale #2. And so on, pretty much like Overflows works.
If you are in a party with someone, you can click to queue to join their specific server.
I think with this all areas would feel pretty much full all the time, and the concept of “Worlds” would still be there for WvW and their bonuses.
I think it’d be more fun like this, what do you say?
