First of all: Good game so far. Great start, nice graphics, it’s fun to play and so on…
Here a few suggestions from my personal side.
LFG Chat / Dungeon Finder
Improve the way of finding a group. At the moment, everyone is trying to find a group for Citadel of Flames which is quite easy, since there are like 50 people in front of the entrance. But other dungeons suffer from that and the chat is full of “LFG” spam.
First Person View
This would be a huge thing and I’ve already seen a lot of posts about that. It would improve the game so much, since the camera sometimes sucks balls, especially in places where’s not much room.
Trading Post Item Preview
Not much to say here. I want to see what I want to buy, before I maybe waste a kittenload of money for something ugly.
Dungeon Difficulty
Of course every dungeon is doable. But the huge difference between the Lvl 30 dungeon story mode (Ascalonian Catacombs) and Lvl 70 dungeon explorer mode (Citadel of Flames) is a joke. New players reach Lvl 30 and are like “Yeah let’s try the dungeon. Hope it will be fun.” And then they getkittenin there which includes a good amount of repair costs. That’s frustraiting.
I really doubt that anyone of the devs tested each dungeon in both modes serveral times. Otherwise they would have seen that there are enormous gaps of needed skill between all the dungeons.
PvP Balancing
Okay, this one is a huge topic. I don’t want to go into details and I know that you will balance the classes from time to time but at the moment it’s sometimes really unbalanced.
I may suck as hell with my Elementalist playstyle but I allways feel like, being the most squishy person in the game that getskittenmore than easily by a Warrior, Thief, Mesmer…
As an example what you could do, especially for my class, is changing the cooldown of Vapor Form in downed state by 1-2 seconds. The thing is, that every other class can do something to escape at least once before they get finished. An Elementalist needs to hope that the enemy does not start finishing instantly after he gets into down state, because the cooldown of this skill is longer than the animation to finish.
Correct me if I’m wrong.
WvW Performance
I read somewhere, that AMD CPUs suffer under poor performance. I own one and feel so too. It doesn’t matter if I play on high or low settings. Whenever there are more than 20 people on the screen in WvW, my FPS drop like hell and my PC is not even that old. I mean, I can play Battlefield 3 on high settings, so what?
Someone else told me that he’s playing with an old Intel E8400 Dual-Core and still has better FPS in WvW than me with an AMD Quad-Core. There must be a way to fix this because running around with a big amount of players while having around 14FPS can’t be what you want.
Item Drops
They are a joke sometimes. I kill the biggest bosses in the game and get nothing that was worth the time. As an Ele it always feels like I get almost nothing for my class. In percentage I would say from Lvl 1-80, around 50% of armor drops were Heavy Armor, 40% Medium and at least 10% Light. Special events, bosses or map completion rewards should be compared to your class.
I already have 100% map. The reward was quiet okay, even if I don’t really know what to do with it yet. But after finishing Cursed Shore and getting a Lvl 76 Exotic Greatsword, I was reallykitten Of course I could sell it or keep it for a second char but I was so excited to get something big for my class.
Another example: Today I was in Citadel of Flames Explorable. When I got out, 12 out of 20 items where WHITE, the rest was blue. I don’t even get something useful out of it after using a salvage kit.
