Guild Wars 2

This is lame. It’s at 6am Australian Eastern Standard time. How about you do things for all time zones and not just be all for America. If you sell a game around the world then make sure you suit the world, not just 1 Country.

Getting more and more let down by this game each and every day lately.

It’s probably just a cutscene.

I wonder why its a 1 time event… Even more so why is it a secret? Should I make plans to make sure I show up, or is it some crap I don’t care about?

I don’t know who they made this game for, but it sure in the hell isn’t for me.

I say ANET should find the highest up people who approved the one time event. Then fire them, because a one time event is a very stupid idea when you’re talking about an international community.

I don’t care how good the writers think their writing is for this event. They decided to write an event which could not be repeated, when the audience is international. That means they are ignoring the limitations of the medium they are writing for. I don’t see how you could consider such writers as anything but bad writers.

For those of you wondering, having the event at separate times for separate zones is actually one of the worst options. Whatever happens is going to be on livestreams instantly and then on YouTube about five minutes later. At least this way, everyone has a chance to experience it in the game, without having it spoiled by the rapid availability of video on the Internet.

So, by that logic, you will find out about the event even if you aren’t trying.

Fail, complete fail. So many things going wrong lately in this game, this Halloween event one major one and now this. I will prob quit this and buy some co-op games on Steam.

I second that, I’ve actually been bored enough to play Gmod13….

You know, they could have added an NPC replaying the event as a cinematic or something, much like cinematics in GW1 that replay Mission cutscenes and explain arena rules to single players in an area.

Something like:

• NPC banter: You missed it! Talk to me! You must know.
• Talk to NPC:
  • NPC> You wouldn’t believe what I saw! You missed the whole thing!
  • Player>
    1. : Eh? Did I miss something? You have to tell me!
    2. : Not interested.
       Choose 1: → [Instanced cinematic loads and plays].

I wonder if they even considered something like that.
